God did His part, I did my part.Text: Acts 4:8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “Rulers of the people and elders of Israel: 9 If we this day are judged for a good deed done to a helpless man, by what means he has been made well, 10 let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. A. Jesus Christ’s resurrection power, Peter’s faith on This power.
B. Filling vs Indwelling of the Holy Spirit
C. When you do your part (witness) in Christ’s name, then here comes...
D. Warning: relieving the soul: Do we have to be filled with the Holy Spirit first before witnessing? WHAT IF NOT?
May we not come to a point where we give up our worship to the One just to satisfy our soul.
Lamentations 1:11,19 [11] All her people sigh, they seek bread; they have given their pleasant things for meat to relieve the soul: see, O LORD, and consider; for I am become vile. [19] I called for my lovers, but they deceived me: my priests and mine elders gave up the ghost in the city, while they sought their meat to relieve their souls. D. As God has given the Holy Spirit to empower us (GOD`s PART), Let us then choose (MY PART) to be filled with the Holy Spirit to be His witnesses unto many. A witness, therefore, say that... Acts 4:19 But Peter and John answered them, "Whether it`s right in the sight of God for us to listen to you rather than to God, you decide; 20 for we are unable to stop speaking about what we have seen and heard." The Branch SproutedText: John 1:45-51 45 Philip found Nathanael and said to him, “We have found Him of whom Moses in the law, and also the prophets, wrote—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.” 46 And Nathanael said to him, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” Philip said to him, “Come and see.” 47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward Him, and said of him, “Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no deceit!” 48 Nathanael said to Him, “How do You know me?” Jesus answered and said to him, “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.” 49 Nathanael answered and said to Him, “Rabbi, You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!” 50 Jesus answered and said to him, “Because I said to you, ‘I saw you under the fig tree,’ do you believe? You will see greater things than these.” 51 And He said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, hereafter you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man.” (NI-land FO Testimony - after miles of walking along rice fields, B.T. was saved by grace and Gospel of Jesus) A. WHO is the Branch? 1. We have found HIM of whom Moses in the law...
2. We have found HIM of whom ...and the Prophets...
B. The Challenges between Nathanael and Philip v46 And Nathanael said to him, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” Philip said to him, “Come and see.” The 1st sprout: v47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward Him, and said of him, “Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no deceit!”
Nathanael questioned the 1st sprout: v48 Nathanael said to Him, “How do You know me?” Jesus answered and said to him, “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.”
Nathanael concluded and declared: v49 Nathanael answered and said to Him, “Rabbi, You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!”
The gap between verses 48 and 49, Biblical or Physical? Zechariah 3:10 (NKJV): In that day,’ says the LORD of hosts, ‘Everyone will invite his neighbor under his vine and under his fig tree.’ ”
And, the 2nd sprout: 50 Jesus answered and said to him, “Because I said to you, ‘I saw you under the fig tree,’ do you believe? You will see greater things than these.” 51 And He said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, hereafter you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man.”
...Greater things than these.
* Seen Jesus Christ personally 1. Jesus is gifted with word of knowledge (1 Cor 12:8) 2. Proven the Laws and the Prophets about Jesus as the Son of God
* the power of Jesus as the Son of Man 1. Heaven open (signs, miracles, …) 2. Angels
How to get answers from Jesus Christ? Getting Christ`s Answers Cycle: or If you want the Branch to show His sprout on you: -> `Come and See` -> Search -> Believe ->

The Worker`s ToilText: Ecclesiastes 3:13 And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God. At ang bawa’t tao rin naman ay marapat kumain at uminom, at magalak sa kabutihan sa lahat niyang gawa, siyang kaloob ng Dios. A. Do you enjoy the life that you have now? FAILURE or BLESSED B. How are Christians supposed to enjoy the fruit of their toil? One is, I know that, whatsoever God does, it shall be forever. Nothing can be added to it, and nothing taken from it. God does it, that men should fear before Him. (v14) and the Second is, That which is has already been, and which is to be has already been; and God requires an account of what is past. (v15) For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil. (12:14) C. To enjoy things is God’s gift. 1 Timothy 6:17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; 2 Peter 1:3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: D. How to enjoy things spiritually, with fear in God, within the commandments of God? 1 WITH LIMITS 2 IN LOVE 3 IN FAITH 4 IN HOPE
With LIMITS
In LOVE Self - Spiritual maturity When you enjoy things, you give to:
In FAITH Self-to-God When you enjoy things, believe that God made everything, not you. You do not know the way the spirit comes to the bones in the womb of a woman with child. (Eccl. 11:5) In HOPE Self-to-others When you enjoy things, see to it that Gospel is shared to others. ...hoping more souls to worship Jesus. E. How do you use your savings, strength, power, ability, knowledge, wisdom, and time? F. The whole works of man... FEAR GOD & KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. (12:13) Because all men will face God’s judgment, For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil. (12:14) Therefore, we have to enjoy our labour according to our limits, in love, in faith, and in hope.

A Futile InvasionText: Numbers 14:40-42, Deuteronomy 1:41-43 Numbers 14:40 And they rose early in the morning and went up to the top of the mountain, saying, "Here we are, and we will go up to the place which the Lord has promised, for we have sinned!" 41 And Moses said, "Now why do you transgress the command of the Lord? For this will not succeed. 42 Do not go up, lest you be defeated by your enemies, for the Lord is not among you. Deuteronomy 1:41 "Then you answered and said to me, `We have sinned against the Lord; we will go up and fight, just as the Lord our God commanded us.` And when everyone of you had girded on his weapons of war, you were ready to go up into the mountain. 42 And the Lord said to me, `Tell them, "Do not go up nor fight, for I am not among you; lest you be defeated before your enemies." ` 43 So I spoke to you; yet you would not listen, but rebelled against the command of the Lord, and presumptuously went up into the mountain. Objectives:
A. Introduction: Numbers 13 God spoke to Moses God gave the land of Canaan to Israelites (v2) = Deut. 1:21 Go and possess it... Moses chose and sent 12 spies Purpose: To spy what: people strong/weak, few/many? To spy type of the land: good/bad, fat/lean,.. To spy cities: tents/strong holds. 40 days spy B. The Bad Report Numbers 13:27 Then they told him, and said: "We went to the land where you sent us. It truly flows with milk and honey, and this is its fruit. 28 Nevertheless the people who dwell in the land are strong; the cities are fortified and very large; moreover we saw the descendants of Anak there. 29 The Amalekites dwell in the land of the South; the Hittites, the Jebusites, and the Amorites dwell in the mountains; and the Canaanites dwell by the sea and along the banks of the Jordan." Kingdom of God - Should we ask for it?Text: Mark 10:35-40; Matthew 20:20-23 Objectives: To know the KoG Matt. 25:46 Mark 10:30 Matt. 19:29 To achieve the KoG
Introduction James and John asked to sit on either right or left side of JC because of Jesus words about sitting with Him on the throne (Mt. 19:28) - not mentioned in Mark’s account. Jesus is preaching about his death and resurrection (previous chapter) Cup Sufferings 2 Tim 3:12 Rom. 8:7, 17 Persecutions Phi. 3:10
“We are able” v39 James killed - Acts 12:2 John’s tribulation - Rev.1:9 Do it (acceptance) Right hand Matt 25:34-40 Left hand Matt 25:41-46
Not all people cannot accept this saying Matt 19:11; 13:11-12 (why parables) “For those for whom it is prepared” Mk 10:40 Distinct Role of Father and Son, Mat.20:23 To understand that high religious/spiritual men calling/positions do not guarantee of the KoG Case? Of James and John being the apostles of Jesus Christ (Mk 10:38) as they do not know what they are asking. Conclusion: Matt 19:30; 20:16 … last will be first and the first last. For many are called, but few chosen.

When You Were Called - PrioritiesWhen You Were Called ...how do you prioritize doing good things Text: Luke 10:38-42 A. Serving vs Hearing B. Operating in the flesh C. Doing ministries D. True worship E. God’s will F. How to pray
#1 Know God`s will. Mat.6:33 Priority: time and place -> discernment -> peace, joy, righteousness (Rom.14:17-18) #2 How do we approach Him? verse 40 Unselfish Are we praying for other nations? Family members? Neighbors? ... Cases: Is this the right way? (a) Lord, You know that my sister is unbeliever, therefore tell her to believe You? (b) Lord, by faith, You gave me this talent or gift, tell our pastor that he will use me in this ministry? (c) Lord, more souls to accept You as Lord and Savior in the land of Israel, would You send others to preach there? Did Martha pray for herself or for Mary? So, how should Martha have prayed?
Therefore, Compromised the hearing of the Word thru serving in ministries and secular tasks. If we prioritize on ministries, not on the Word, our approach to the Word is misled.
