The Weapon of GodText: KJV 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 KJV ⁃ Examples: a priest is not allowed to marry (1Tim.4:3)
(B) THE SCRIPTURE (WILL OF GOD) IS THE BOUNDARY. The will of God is our limit. We must understand that the meaning of "God`s will" is limiting us within His will.

What is to "have faith in Christ"?What is to "have faith in Christ"? RCY
Text: Galatians 3:22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. (NLT) But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. (KJV)
Objectives: To answer the following questions,
I. What is “believe”? believe=to have faith II. When did the law end? Galatians 3:19 Why, then, was the law given? It was given alongside the promise to show people their sins. But the law was designed to last only until the coming of the child who was promised. God gave his law through angels to Moses, who was the mediator between God and the people.
Galatians 3:1 Oh, foolish Galatians! Who has cast an evil spell on you? For the meaning of Jesus Christ’s death was made as clear to you as if you had seen a picture of his death on the cross. Galatians 3:2 Let me ask you this one question: Did you receive the Holy Spirit by obeying the law of Moses? Of course not! You received the Spirit because you believed the message you heard about Christ. Galatians 3:3 How foolish can you be? After starting your new lives in the Spirit, why are you now trying to become perfect by your own human effort? Galatians 3:4 Have you experienced so much for nothing? Surely it was not in vain, was it? Galatians 3:5 I ask you again, does God give you the Holy Spirit and work miracles among you because you obey the law? Of course not! It is because you believe the message you heard about Christ. Galatians 3:6 In the same way, “Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith.”
IT IS FOR THEIR BENEFIT
◦ Example 1: Jeremiah 9:5,6,8,9 on lies. Guide people not to lie. This is circumcision by the spirit ch 9:25-26. A form of worship/offering to the Lord. Otherwise, the Lord says, eat what you offer, they are just front, fake, ch 3:10, 7:21 ◦ Example 2: Given in the first part (example of transformation) Exo. 20:8 remember the sabbath day to keep it holy. God strictly warned the people in Judah and Jerusalem about the observance of the Sabbath day to make it holy (11:6 do everything it requires to be holy, i.e. no business, no work, exclusively for the Lord) found in Jeremiah 17:19-27.
These purposes lead man to have faith in Christ when he comes. IV. The prerequisites of having faith in Christ: How can a legalist be righteous/saved? by faith in Christ, 3:24
What to do if we say "have faith in Christ"?
BELIEVE THE MSG RE CHRIST
◦ 1 GET RID OF "THE SLAVE AND HIS SON AND TURN TO THE SON OF PROMISE" (human effort/law and faith). God`s way to fulfill His own promise, 4:23,29-30 - 23 The son of the slave wife was born in a human attempt to bring about the fulfillment of God’s promise. But the son of the freeborn wife was born as God’s own fulfillment of his promise. 29 Galatians 4:30 But what do the Scriptures say about that? “Get rid of the slave and her son, for the son of the slave woman will not share the inheritance with the free woman’s son.” (Notice the phrase in double quotes. I am not saying that we turn to Isaac, the son of promise, and believe and worship him.)
◦ 2 FAITH EXPRESSED IN LOVE. Galatians 5:6 For when we place our faith in Christ Jesus, there is no benefit in being circumcised or being uncircumcised. What is important is faith expressing itself in love.
◦ 3 FAITH IS SEEN IN YOUR DECISION

Is Legalism the Gospel of Christ? Is Legalism the Gospel of Christ? RCY Text: Galatians 1:6 I am shocked that you are turning away so soon from God, who in his love and mercy called you to share the eternal life he gives through Christ. You are already following a different way 7 that pretends to be the Good News but is not the Good News at all. You are being fooled by those who twist and change the truth concerning Christ.
Objectives: To answer the following questions,
A. Background: The Galatian Christians
What is to be “saved” and legalism? What is to be “saved”? to enter into the kingdom of God. John 3:5 Jesus replied, "The truth is, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit. What is legalism?
Examples of Legalism
B. The Nature of a legalist Can a legalist be saved? Yes or No. If you are not yet a follower of Christ by faith, then, NO because he is just obeying the law with the following motives (or spirit of a legalist) contrary to 2:16 And yet we Jewish Christians know that we become right with God, not by doing what the law commands, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be accepted by God because of our faith in Christ--and not because we have obeyed the law. For no one will ever be saved by obeying the law." but If you are like one of the Galatians as warned by Paul, then, yes as long as you repent and turn away from legalism, 1 John 1:9 But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from every wrong. This is the warning of Paul in (text) ch1: verse 6 Galatians 1:6 I am shocked that you are turning away so soon from God, who called you to himself through the loving mercy of Christ. You are following a different way that pretends to be the Good News Galatians 1:7 but is not the Good News at all. You are being fooled by those who deliberately twist the truth concerning Christ.
Dominate (mangibabaw): to control or have power over your fellow worshippers, superiority. Eg decision making, knowledge of the Word Intimidate (takutin): to make Christians feel timid (lack of courage/self-confidence) or afraid. Eg uncircumcised->not obeying God; by seniority (authority; master-slave treatment) in the form of voice, facial expression, behavior, etc, Manipulate (manipulahin): controlling Christians to your advantage, often unfairly or dishonestly. Eg twisting the agreed MOM
C. What is the true Gospel? 1. Jesus as God in a human body Galatians 4:4 But when the right time came, God sent his Son, born of a woman, subject to the law. 2. The Cross = the death of interest of this world
What is in the world that Paul had possibly crucified? Pride. Being a Pharisee, his intelligence of the law made him persecute Jesus` disciples. 1 John 2:16 KJV For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 3. The Resurrection = the transformation into a new creation, ie a child of God, by the HS. Galatians 6:15 It doesn’t matter whether we have been circumcised or not. What counts is whether we have been transformed into a new creation.
Example of transformation: -> Exo. A transformed life through the HS is a worshipping heart regardless of days. Jesus healed sick people on sabbath days. “The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath day: it is not lawful for thee to carry thy bed.” John 5:10 KJV
1. People of God. Galatians 6:16 May God’s peace and mercy be upon all who live by this principle; they are the new people of God. KJV Galatians 6:16 And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God. The Rule: love, not legalism. The people of God do the right things right. They are moved by love. Galatians 5:14 For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” 2. Having the HS, it is just normal to worship our Father; we normally offer our praises and appreciation of His grace. The HS is given to people`s hearts. Galatians 4:6 And because we are his children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, prompting us to call out, “Abba, Father.”
3. Have to act as children (heir) of God; how? fight a good fight of faith.

What is your body to God?My testimony Few weeks back I asked God why would He need human to pray and intercede when in the first place with all His Power and all His angels, He can stop evil.
(1) Your body was made for the LORD. 1 Corinthians 6:13 You say, “Food was made for the stomach, and the stomach for food.” (This is true, though someday God will do away with both of them.) But you can’t say that our bodies were made for sexual immorality. They were made for the Lord, and the Lord cares about our bodies.
2) Your body is part of CHRIST.
(3) YOUR BODY (exclusive of believers) IS ONE IN SPIRIT WITH GOD. 1 Corinthians 6:17 But the person who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with him.
4) YOUR BODY IS THE TEMPLE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.
(5) YOUR BODY WAS PURCHASED WITH A HIGH PRICE.
IV. APPLICATIONS/ IMPLICATIONS ON WHAT TO DO WITH THE BODY OR WHAT IS EXPECTED OF THE BODY
◦ 5 ministry, we promote Christ: if in my testimonies I promoted myself, please forgive me. We should not justify our actions by praising our own actions. Let others praise you and justify your works, Proverbs 27:2 Let someone else praise you, not your own mouth—a stranger, not your own lips.

Praying with Understanding vs Praying without UnderstandingPraying with Understanding vs Praying without Understanding Nov.8, 2024 RCY
Text: Romans 1:9-12 and 1 Corinthians 14:2, 4
Objectives: 1 To uplift brothers and sisters in fighting Satan in the spiritual realm, in the area of prayer and intercession. With this, in order to pray by the leading of the Holy Spirit, faith is involved. There is a certain level of faith that a Christian would have in order to effectively pray and be led by the Holy Spirit. God meets us according to what we have, what faith we have. ◦ Romans 12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. ◦ Ephesians 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, KJV Walking in the Spirit is purely by faith (Gal.5:16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.) I believe that when we ask God to increase our faith (Rom.10:17; Luke 17:5 And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith. [brethren’s correction, repentance, and forgiveness]), God will give you the increase.
2 If you want to be called "greatly beloved" Daniel 9:23, 10:11,19 who cared for Israel - he prayed, fasted, interceded for Israel, then this message is for you. v23 At the beginning of your supplications the command went out, and I have come to tell you, for you are greatly beloved; therefore consider the matter, and understand the vision: v11 And he said to me, "O Daniel, man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak to you, and stand upright, for I have now been sent to you." While he was speaking this word to me, I stood trembling. v19 And he said, "O man greatly beloved, fear not! Peace be to you; be strong, yes, be strong!" So when he spoke to me I was strengthened, and said, "Let my lord speak, for you have strengthened me." 3 Do we know how to pray and what to pray in accordance with God’s will? Yes or no, there are things that we know and we do not know what to pray for. Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
I. Praying with understanding Paul provided us with an example on how to pray with understanding. Romans 1 9 God knows how often I pray for you. Day and night I bring you and your needs in prayer to God, whom I serve with all my heart by telling others the Good News about his Son. 10 One of the things I always pray for is the opportunity, God willing, to come at last to see you. 11 For I long to visit you so I can share a spiritual blessing with you that will help you grow strong in the Lord. 12 I`m eager to encourage you in your faith, but I also want to be encouraged by yours. In this way, each of us will be a blessing to the other.
1. Pray for the brother/sister’s needs, v9
2. In verses 10 & 11, pray for the opportunity to be with the fellow believers - fellowship. The objective is to impart some Spiritual Gifts in order to grow strong in the Lord.
3. In verse 12, pray for a two-way encouragement. Paul is saying, “You’ll get blessed, and I will also get blessed, seeing and being with you.” Each one should be “speaking" (in words or in action) the truth.
Psalm 8:2 You have taught children and nursing infants to give you praise. They silence your enemies who were seeking revenge. Matthew 21:16 and asked Jesus, "Do you hear what these children are saying?Yes," Jesus replied. "Haven`t you ever read the Scriptures? For they say, ‘You have taught children and infants to give you praise.’" *Based on these texts, Paul has the knowledge about the situation because he had been there. Prayer inputs or knowledge about situations are based normally on our 5 senses. For Example, we saw news about wars, nations or groups against Israel, NPA vs Phils soldiers, flooding problems, drugs, cyber attacks, etc. With these, because of mercy, we pray for them. At least at this point, we can say we know ‘what to pray for’. The next question is, do you know ‘how to pray for them’. Do we know the will of God for that particular situation? Whether God allows suffering or comfort in that situation.
II. A Prayer Language: Praying without understanding In 1 Cor. 14:13 Paul was contrasting praying in tongues without understanding and praying in plain language with understanding. He gave the benefits of the two. 1 Corinthians 14:13 So anyone who speaks in tongues should pray also for the ability to interpret what has been said. 14 For if I pray in tongues, my spirit is praying, but I don’t understand what I am saying. 15 Well then, what shall I do? I will pray in the spirit, and I will also pray in words I understand. I will sing in the spirit, and I will also sing in words I understand. 1Co14:2-4 When praying in a prayer language, a language that you do not understand at first is: (a) YOU ARE SPEAKING TO GOD 1 Corinthians 14:2 NKJV For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries. ⁃ sometimes if not most of the time or if not at all, our prayers are not talking to God. It is just saying things out of mouth but not out of our heart
(b) IN THE SPIRIT HE SPEAKS MYSTERIES. ⁃ mystery=secret - Unlike the prayer with understanding, prayer without understanding is not based on what you saw from a movie or a clip, drama, skit, or presentation. I called this act a ‘simulation’. Based on what we saw, that triggers your emotions to have a burden on the matter. -In prayer without understanding, when you do not know what and how to pray, one manifestation is that you just led to pray for a nation, person, church, leader, etc. You see from here, the burden of God is shared with you by the Holy Spirit.
(c) YOU ARE EDIFYING YOURSELF, strengthening 1 Corinthians 14:4 NKJV He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church. ⁃ what are the manifestations in yourself: (1) share with you the burden of the HS for the lost souls, specific groups of people or individual person; (2) joy, peace; (3) true worship *note: it does not mean without understanding is totally without understanding of the prayer language. God may also give you the understanding of the content of the prayer language. *pray also that you understand, v13 -Furthermore, Paul thanked God and prayed in unknown tongues ‘more than you all- v18’. -Lastly, praying in an unknown tongue is controlled by you. Verse 32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets. (NLT) Remember that people who prophesy are in control of their spirit and can wait their turn.
III. Application: Intercession (a) We have to understand the heavenly structure. Col1:15-16, Eph6:12 Colossians 1 15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: 16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
Ephesians 6 12 (NLT) For we are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against the evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against those mighty powers of darkness who rule this world, and against wicked spirits in the heavenly realms.
(b) What is intercession?
IV. Conclusion Both praying with and without understanding are tools of God to lead you in His will on what and how to pray through the Holy Spirit.
Call for a prayer warrior, intercessor.
Psalm 110:3 NKJV Your people shall be volunteers In the day of Your power; In the beauties of holiness, from the womb of the morning, You have the dew of Your youth.
Let us worship Jesus and pray with understanding and without understanding => First, think about others to pray for. Identify their needs. Pray for them. => And second, pray in an unknown tongue, speak in a low voice so that only can hear it. (Note: November 7, 2024 when the owner of the house church gave us until December 10, 2024 to vacate the place.)

The Birthright ExchangeObjectives:
birthright=blessing Text: Genesis 25:30-34 KJV 30 And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage ; for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom. 31 And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright. 32 And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me? 33 And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob. 34 Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentils; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright. I. Introduction Let’s see the (i) background of Esau and Jacob and (ii) how the word ‘deception’ came out from the mouth of Isaac and Esau. i) The background of Esau and Jacob. GOD HAD LOVED JACOB AND HATED ESAU. Who is Esau? Hebrews 12:16 Make sure that no one is immoral or godless like Esau, who traded his birthright as the firstborn son for a single meal. 17 You know that afterward, when he wanted his father’s blessing, he was rejected. It was too late for repentance, even though he begged with bitter tears. "Romans 9:12 It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger. 13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated." "Malachi 1:2 I have loved you, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacob`s brother? saith the LORD: yet I loved Jacob,3 And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness." Who is Jacob? ⁃ Not much given but after this birthright exchange event, we see, Genesis 28:12-15 dreamed and received a word from God. Genesis 28:12 As he slept, he dreamed of a stairway that reached from the earth up to heaven. And he saw the angels of God going up and down the stairway. 13 At the top of the stairway stood the lord, and he said, “I am the lord, the God of your grandfather Abraham, and the God of your father, Isaac. The ground you are lying on belongs to you. I am giving it to you and your descendants. 14 Your descendants will be as numerous as the dust of the earth! They will spread out in all directions—to the west and the east, to the north and the south. And all the families of the earth will be blessed through you and your descendants. 15 What’s more, I am with you, and I will protect you wherever you go. One day I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have finished giving you everything I have promised you.” ii) According to Isaac (27:35) and Esau (27:36), they were deceived by Jacob. Genesis 27:33 Isaac began to tremble uncontrollably and said, “Then who just served me wild game? I have already eaten it, and I blessed him just before you came. And yes, that blessing must stand!” 34 When Esau heard his father’s words, he let out a loud and bitter cry. “Oh my father, what about me? Bless me, too!” he begged. 35 But Isaac said, “Your brother was here, and he tricked me. He has taken away your blessing.” 36 Esau exclaimed, “No wonder his name is Jacob, for now he has cheated me twice. First he took my rights as the firstborn, and now he has stolen my blessing. Oh, haven’t you saved even one blessing for me?”
II. THE PROCESS
The Lord told Rebekah: THE ELDER SHALL SERVE THE YOUNGER Genesis 25:23 And the LORD said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger. Romans 9:12 It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger. See the importance of interpreting correctly a word, a prophecy, a tongue. 2. The Meet-up (The Negotiation: Bargaining Agreement): 1) Two sides; and the 2) Test (1) TWO SIDES: The proud and the blessing seeker (knowledgeable). (a) One side is Esau -IGNORANCE -UNBELIEF -ARROGANCE/SELF-TRUST Esau exchanged his birthright (blessing) for food. Three possible reasons why Esau decided on the exchange. ⁃IGNORANCE in the sense he Esau didn’t know about the meaning or importance of being a firstborn; -UNBELIEF in the sense that he knew about God`s promises but simply did not believe in these promises; -ARROGANCE/SELF-TRUST in the sense that he was a hunter. He can provide for himself. He might rely on his strength and can live without God`s blessing. These 3 summarizes in verse 32 `what profit shall this birthright do to me?` REFLECTION:
Be careful that we guard our senses, especially our thinking and feeling so that instead of thanking God, praying, worshiping Him, meditating on His promises, we may prefer to unknowingly use our arrogant mind to think of the solution or trust on our abilities. Be careful that your senses may remind you that you have the education, skill, experiences, years on earth which may lead you to an arrogant action. Pride is the most difficult to cure because you do not accept that you are too proud of yourself. The only way to overcome pride is the cleansing of the Word (John 15:3). The word can penetrate our thoughts and intents of our hearts (Heb.4:12)
(b) The other side: The Blessing Seeker. KNOWLEDGE OF BLESSING. Jacob knew the `word` or God`s promises, the BLESSING. Jacob wants to get that `REWARD.` AS SIMPLE AS THAT. Verse 31 And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright.
REFLECTION:
Let us try some of these: (i) should we pray for Israel? Jeremiah 31:7 For thus saith the LORD; Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout among the chief of the nations: publish (PROCLAIM) ye, praise ye, and say, O LORD, save thy people, the remnant of Israel. (ii) how to fight Satan in a muslim world, through declaration. Deuteronomy 33:25 May the bolts of your gates be of iron and bronze; may you be secure all your days." 26 “There is no one like the God of Israel. He rides across the heavens to help you, across the skies in majestic splendor. 27 The eternal God is your refuge, and his everlasting arms are under you. He drives out the enemy before you; he cries out, ‘Destroy them!’ (iii) how can we be healed? Mark 16:18 KJV They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. (iv) how to recover from the financial crisis? 2 Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: (v) and especially, how to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit? we need this in soul winning, one requirement, ie be filled with the Holy Spirit. I believe this is one requirement to be a soul winner. We have to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Luke 11:13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
(2) THE TEST ⁃ Esau coming hungry. His flesh needs food. ⁃ Jacob longing for that birthright blessing, he tested Esau. The Consent. ⁃ It looked like Jacob was opportunistic, his timing that Esau was tired. ⁃ But, though Esau was weak for as long as he cared for his birthright, being weak in flesh should have not been a reason of giving away that right. - As for Esau, he failed in this test.
Since we are in Christ, we are sure and hold to that promise that God is faithful in helping us overcome testing of our faith (1Cor.10:13 But remember that the temptations that come into your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will keep the temptation from becoming so strong that you can`t stand up against it. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you will not give in to it.) DO NOT BE DISCOURAGED. Continue on the way Jacob had worshiped God that God may say to us, CAN WE DECLARE THIS? Rom.9:13 `Esau I have hated, _______ I have loved` (fill-in Jacob’s name with your name) This should be our declaration everyday. To declare that we are victorious in the test to come on that day.
III. The Completion. The giving out of birthright blessing.
Why does God allow deception to get his blessing? (Is this a correct question?) Readings: Chapter 27 IN THE FIRST PLACE THERE WAS NO DECEPTION IN THE PROCESS OF BIRTHRIGHT EXCHANGE. -God is not the author of deception. Satan is. -God does not move by lies. He moves by truth.
There is another question that you may be asking. Why didn’t Isaac take back his words? Answer. This is the power of words! This is how the word of the Lord works. That is why God cannot change His promises. He is faithful to do whatever He says. If the word is true, no one can change it. What is agreed on must be followed. A simple application of this is the meeting agenda. In Hebrews 11 talks about faith. Verse 20 says, By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come.
IV. In closing, God`s promises are true and God cannot just withdraw them. -If He says he will give you the Comforter, he will give you. -As long as you act like Rebekah and Jacob. Wear the cloth of being sons and daughters of Christ. He is our abba Father, "Romans 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father."

Christian Duty 101Text: Luke 17:1-10 A. Overview of the Verses
B. Christian Duty 101 - (1) REBUKE and FORGIVE
When should we be rebuked? In what methods? 1) When in discontent. Example: David, 2 Samuel 12:1-9 Repented, v13 2) When in doubt. Example: Thomas, John 20:24-29 Expression of repentance, v28 Zacharias - father of John the Baptist (Lk1:5-20) Sarah- mother of Isaac (Gen.18:13-14; 17:17,19) 3) When taking grace as liberty to sin. Examples: color of skin, brown vs white flying colors, winner vs loser, anointed vs ? Respect everyone, 1 Peter 2:16-17 Biased/Special treatment, James 2:1-10 David’s action 4) When controlled by sin. Romans 6:1-2, 12 Example: Ananias and Sapphira, Acts 5:1-3 Lie to the Spirit & conspiracy 5) When we don’t test the spirit. 1 John 4:1-4 Or discern the Spirit. Example: When Peter did not discern that he allowed himself to be used by Satan, Mark 8:31-33
b. FORGIVE
C. Christian Duty 101 - (2) ASK for the INCREASE of FAITH IF one lacks faith to REBUKE and FORGIVE
If you lack faith, then be equipped with the Word. Romans 10:17
We have to do these.
D. Christian Duty 101 - (3) SHOW YOUR FAITH WITHIN GOD’S WILL 1.The ‘moving of a tree’ is an illustration that God manifests His power, but not limited to, through believing. Mis-applied faith. Applied to rebuking and forgiving, discipling. 2.The show of power through faith has to be within God’s purpose and timing. Not to show that you are capable and that you can move God at all times, any moment. 3.Do what is commanded - the DUTY. Generally, the Word is the commandment. Specifically, God wants you to do something at a specific time and in a specific place. When YOU HAVE DONE THE WORK, regardless of the output, simply say “I’ve done my duty.”
E. Christian Duty 101 – SIMPLE APPLICATION 2 Timothy 3:2-4
F. Conclusion Christians should not just apply faith in the areas of signs and wonders, but in CHARACTER building, DISCIPLINE. Christians disciple their family. Christians can help shape the community that leads them to believe Jesu Christ.

The Call (Ang Pagtawag)The Call (Ang Pagtawag) Luke 19:9-10 9 And Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, since he also is a son of Abraham. 10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” At the Outset: Jesus Focusing on His Mission to Enter Jerusalem Luke 18: 31 And taking the twelve, he said to them, “See, we are going up to Jerusalem, and everything that is written about the Son of Man by the prophets will be accomplished. (Luke 19:34-39, Zechariah 9:9) The Unseen Opportunity, The Focus on the Mission Set Aside Temporarily Luke 18: 35-42 The blind beggar sitting by the roadside asked Jesus for healing. Why did Jesus ask the blind beggar what he wanted from Him? It was very clear that the blind beggar needed healing. Was the Question of Jesus Uncertain? John 5:6 … Do you want to be healed? Again, why did Jesus ask the lame man what he wanted? It was very clear that he was struggling for a long time to obtain healing. Was the Forgiving of Sin Inappropriate? Mark 2:5 “Son, your sins are forgiven.” Mark 2:9: Which is easier, to say ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Rise, take up your bed and walk’? Let Us Ponder More About the Focus of the Mission The Story About Elisha and the Shunamite’s Son (2 Kings 4:8-37) A heartbreaking incident about the son of the farmer couple who delighted on the man of God. The Focus Set Aside Temporarily – A mother and her child; a situation that happens every time even today. An adlib of the preacher about how the mother, despite her being focused on the meeting that she had to attend, could not resist the call of her son, when he called her because she forgot to hug him when left their house. The Focus on the Mission Set Aside for the Second Time Luke 19:1 He entered Jericho and was passing through. Luke 19:1-10 … For the Son of Man came to seek and save the lost. Jericho was a city of fragrance because of the fragrant smell of abundant trees. It was the seat capital of commerce traversing countries surrounding it like Jordan. It was a rich city because trading was thriving there for a long time. Jericho was a place where rich traders lived. It was also the favorite place of the Levites during those times. Zacchaeus Met Jesus Face to Face Luke 19:1-5 So he ran on ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see him, for he was about to pass that way. And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, hurry and come down, for I must stay at your house today.” Luke 19:7 And when they saw it, they all grumbled, “He has gone in to be the guest of a man who is a sinner.” On that particular moment, what if we were there also as unbelievers? What will we say also to Jesus and Zacchaeus? Are we going to judge them too? Was there any difference between the blind beggar and Zacchaeus? Of all the people around who were more needful than Zacchaeus, why did Jesus choose him? Flashback: The Boxing Icon (Mohammad Ali) My Father (A motor shop owner) Zacchaeus was a chief tax collector, a rich man, a sinner, a corrupt person, a traitor because he collected tax for the Roman government, a deceiver, a person with dishonorable personality. Zacchaeus knew for a long time that people loathed him for who he is. He had a hardened personality that kept him doing what he believed and what he had been doing for a long time. It is more of an expression “I will like those who like me and I will hate those who hate me.” I other words, he was a ‘straight deal’ person. Jesus saw something in Zacchaeus that only God can see in a person. He saw the other man he could be. (Luke 18:18-27 the rich businessman) Zacchaeus’ conversion was quick. His salvation came because he deserved the mercy and grace of Jesus as his Savior. (Luke 19:8) Zacchaeus made a personal choice. He could have ignored Jesus when he learned that He is passing by his place. He could have chosen to be just a curious viewer of what is going on. Nevertheless, an invitation of the Savior made a change of his heart and led to his change of character and behavior. Repentance to Salvation Romans 2:4 Or do you presume on the riches of his kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing that God’s kindness is meant to lead you to repentance? 2 Corinthians 5:20-21 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. By B. Rodel
